In a move that likely comes as no surprise – it was probably inevitable at this point – Disney has updated its movie release schedule. With movie theaters still closed and production still halted due to the coronavirus, there’s no help for it. So the announcements came today, and with them, the news that Star Wars is moving from its previous December dates in 2022, 2024, and 2026.
The good news is, they were moved one year ahead, to December 2023, 2025, and 2027. This, at least, suggests that the delays are only coronavirus related, and not because of anything else going on behind the scenes. Couple this with a recent Taika Waititi interview, and we’ve got predictions for who will be in charge of each of those three movies… Punch it!
