It’s been a rather eventful week here at Star Wars 7×7. As you might imagine, spending a week looking back at 1,100+ episodes is an emotional thing.
In addition, I’ve been waiting all week, hoping that I’d get something in the mail, and it did finally arrive: The proof copies of The Unofficial Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trivia Book. (For the record: Not affiliated or endorsed by LFL or Disney in any way, shape, or form.) Lots of folks joined in on the Facebook Live unboxing of them, and that was a fun and unexpected impromptu book launch party.
Later today, the book will be available in hard copy for $7.77 for a limited time (normal price: $9.97), but here’s what I propose: If you become a Patron of the show at Patreon.com/sw7x7 this month, I’ll send you a hard copy of the book for free.
The only other things I’ll ask of you are:
1. That you leave a review of the book on Amazon
2. That you tell every last one of your Star-Wars-loving friends, family, and cohorts about the book
Easy enough, right?
Meanwhile, thanks to a series of coincidences, I’m going to find myself in California next week! Which means I have an opportunity to attend D23 that I’m working on right now, and I’m even going to find time to drive up to Skywalker Ranch. I’ve never been, and I can’t wait! Not sure what’s going to happen up there, but it’s going to be something magical, I’m sure…
On today’s podcast, I’m talking about all of this and more, including the (brief) history of Star Wars 7×7, and the revelation of my constant companion in the studio (who’s only ever made himself known during my interview with Chris Taylor for episodes 700 and 701 of the podcast).
Thank you – forever and always – for listening and supporting the show. Here’s to the next year of daily doses of Star Wars joy!
