This is the third in my series of looks at From a Certain Point of View, the collection of 40 short stories interwoven with the events of the original Star Wars!
Today, we’re going over stories #7 and #9: “Rites,” by John Jackson Miller, which tells the story of the Tusken Raiders who accosted Luke and the droids, and “Beru Whitesun Lars” by Meg Cabot, which is a first-person, beyond-the-grave reminiscence by Luke’s aunt about how she came to be in the position of accepting Luke into her life, her hopes and ambitions for him, and her reflection on how things turned out.
The reason we’re skipping #8, “Master and Apprentice” by Claudia Gray, is because it’s a rather meaty story and it’s going to need its own podcast to sort out. You’re going to learn more about Force ghosts than you ever expected…
