On the eve of the release of Become the Force: 9 Lessons on How to Live as a Jediist Master, I spoke with its author, Daniel M. Jones from his home in Wales (that’s across the pond in the United Kingdom, for those needing the reference point). Jones founded of the Church of Jediism in 2007, after being deeply affected by the Jedi census phenomenon of 2001.
During our conversation, I asked him:
–About his perspective on the 2001 census
–How he went from the census to founding the church
–About the major tenets of the Church of Jediism
–About the dark side and bringing balance to the Force
–What the plans are for the church, now that it’s celebrating its 10th anniversary
–How, as the founder of the Church of Jediism, he reacted to hearing Luke say the Jedi had to end in The Last Jedi trailer
It’s a deeper conversation on tap to day, and a longer one, too. I hope you enjoy it!
