There’s an old proverb about a farmer and his son. And I may mess this story up. But the gist is, the kid breaks his ankle, so he can’t help the farmer in the field. And everyone says how terrible it is, but the farmer only says, “We’ll see.”
The next day, the army comes by, demanding tribute in the form of taking young, able-bodied men forcibly into their army. But with the broken ankle, they pass by the injured boy and leave him be. The people in the neighborhood are all thrilled for the farmer, congratulating him on his luck.
But the farmer only says, “We’ll see…”
And it goes on and on for six or seven more decision trees.
