Yes, I did a podcast earlier this year about how we’re missing romance as a crucial element of the sequel movies. That’s not to say there aren’t love-like relationships happening in there – or in the other movies as well.
Today, I’m looking at what I’d consider to be the most important love relationship in each movie. And again, that could also be brotherly love, comrade-in-arms love, familial love, or something else entirely, at least in one case. Please share your love list in the comments! On the podcast, I’ll elaborate on my choices:
The Phantom Menace: Anakin and his mom Shmi
Attack of the Clones: Anakin and Padme
Revenge of the Sith: Obi-Wan and Anakin
A New Hope: Han and the Millennium Falcon
The Empire Strikes Back: Leia and Han
Return of the Jedi: Luke and Vader/Anakin
The Force Awakens: Finn and Poe
The Last Jedi: Rey and Ben/Kylo
Rogue One: Chirrut and Baze
Solo: Han and Chewie
