This may be the longest interview I’ve ever done!
On today’s podcast, I’m sharing a snippet of an interview from the Star-B-Q Podcast, on one of their “Nibblers” episodes. Ironic, in a sense, since the full interview goes for two hours!
For the snippet you’ll hear on Star Wars 7×7, I’m talking with their co-host Fode (yes, as in podrace announcers Fode and Beed) about Force users and non-users, and how the notion of being in a “flow state” is similar to what non-Force-users might be experiencing in the Star Wars universe…
Additionally, congratulations to Steve Kirk and company for starting a new event, InterGalactiCon San Diego. It’s happening June 15-16, and here’s the deal about it, from their website:
Smaller than the Big Cons, where lines can last days and Hollywood runs the agenda, yet bigger than hyper-focused local gatherings, that celebrate only one kind of fandom. We’re a place for all kinds of fans to gather, see the things they want to see, and have some crazy imaginative fun together.
Brainstormer Lani and I ran a big digital marketing event for six years here in New Hampshire, and are part of a team creating a weekend yoga and meditation retreat that’s entering its fifth year, so we know how challenging it can be to get a new event off the ground. I wish Steve and the rest of the IGC team the best of luck with their new endeavor.
