There’s no way that the sphere on the poster is an earth-sized planet!
If it was earth-sized, I calculated from the image that; the trench would be 1144 miles across and 740 miles deep.
Fun fact: if you fell into that trench it would take you 6-and-a-half hours to hit the bottom!
My blind guess is that Starkiller Base refers to the planet stronghold for the first order and the weapon is something else entirely.
We’ll find out!
