Did you catch The Tonight Show on Wednesday night? Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso) demonstrated some of her newly minted Kung-Fu skills, which happened to also appear in the Rogue One clip shared on the show.
Possibly the more interesting story from a new news standpoint – this is the first time we’ve seen an actual scene in order, not just flashed together like in trailers, with Michael Giacchino’s score intact.
I’ve got the video of it embedded below, and I’d love to hear what you think about it!

Today’s question: Why does Leia think Han can get through to Ben, even though Luke couldn’t?

Hey Alan…love the show and I appreciate the time and effort you put in each and everyday. My son and I listen almost every morning during our commute as I take him to school. So thanks for being there!
I think Michael Giacchino was the perfect choice to compose the music for Rogue One! I’ve been a fan of his work since he did the music for LOST (which was a JJ Abrams show ironically), as well as some of the others you mentioned no today’s show. I’ve actually thought for years that he was going to be looked at as the next John Williams. Funny that he’s now stepping into that direction. I’m glad we have John Williams still for the saga films, but I love what I’ve heard so far. I couldn’t agree more that the music we hear in the clip just “feels right”…definitely has the tone that I think all Star Wars fans are hoping for. I’m looking forward to hearing it all and seeing what he does with the opening of this film. Will it be the original fanfare or something new? I can’t wait to find out.
Thanks again for the show!
