(Image via CharlieRose.com) “White slavers”? Really? Yes, that’s how George Lucas referred to Disney in his late-2015 interview with Charlie Rose. Specifically, he talked about how he views the movies as his children (he’s made similar statements in the past), and then went on to talk about them being sold to Disney. Here’s the quote:
I sold them to the white slavers that take these things, and then… [uncomfortable laughter]
Wow! White slavers, as in this, from Wikipedia:
White slavery, white slave trade, white Slave Traffic and white slave historically refer to the enslavement of Europeans by non-Europeans, as part of the Arab, Barbary and Ottoman slave trade. The term can also mean sexual slavery, including forced prostitution and human trafficking.
That is a serious and highly charged statement, one from which he backed down pretty quickly, as reported (among other places) in Deadline: Hollywood:
I want to clarify my interview on the Charlie Rose Show. It was for the Kennedy Center Honors and conducted prior to the premiere of the film. I misspoke and used a very inappropriate analogy and for that I apologize.
That’s part of the quote, and there’s more to review. But what do you think? Although the metaphor is extreme and inappropriate, is it actually an apt metaphor for what’s happening with the franchise since leaving Lucas’ hands? Share your thoughts in the comments!
And, as promised in the podcast, the link to a Hollywood Reporter story about the passing of Jason Wingreen, the voice of Boba Fett. May the Force be with you, Jason.

I believe that Lucas is referring to the Illuminati as “White Slavers”. The secret society actually controls most of Hollywood and the media (among other things in our corrupt infrastructure). In a previous interview, he actually mentioned them as “they” who want him to do his movies a certain way. It’s a surprise how blatant he comes out this time though. Regardless of his rebellious spirit, Lucas is not a person of apologies. And considering how powerful the Illuminati are, makes even someone as influential and powerful as Lucas start to backtrack and publicly apologize? I believe that Lucas knows exactly who he is referring to, and surprisingly gives us a rare insight into the “very real” controlling hands behind hollywood and our media. In reference to the Star Wars saga, I think that the String Theory may not be mere theory alone, but the intentional work of the Illuminati in the “programming” of the masses (including the huge star wars fanbase). Hmm?
