Welcome back to our continued deep dive into the Rogue One novelization! Remember when Cassian tells Jyn that the Holy City on Jedha is “about to blow”? Well, the movie doesn’t explain how he’s arrived at that conclusion, but the novel elaborates on the situation, which kicks off today’s discussion/dissection.
There’s also an intriguing reference to the “Order of the Esoteric Pulsar” that opens up the doors to something that’s been promised by Lucasfilm for a while now – an expansion of ideas related to the Force, and how others perceive it and interact with it. We’ve gotten pieces of that with Bendu in Star Wars Rebels, and even with Ahsoka Tano in her post-Jedi “Fulcrum” career. Now, we get an even more tantalizing piece of the puzzle in the Rogue One novel.
Have a listen, and if you like it, please share it with your Star-Wars-loving friends, and leave us a rating on iTunes – that’ll help more people find this podcast, too. Thank you!
