The Han/Leia offspring theory seems natural. Both Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver look like they could possibly be Solo children. But if I were to guess who would be a Skywalker, then probably Rey (based only on how she seems to have the most screen time in all the footage seen so far). Honestly I was hoping for a non-Skywalker relation theory (especially after the prequels). Just the idea of Luke passing on his teachings to a nobody-independent-scavenger seems kinda nice (fresh palette!). I am of course skeptical that Lucasfilm would be so inclined.

Hi Eddie – looks like it could be an open question still! I think you nailed it with thinking Rey would be a Force user based on her screen time. It does seem like Lucasfilm is going the relative route, but the existence of the former academy gives them another route if they want to take it…

Yeah I agree with Eddie, it would be great to have a “fresh palette” with a non-skywalker main force user character.

Thanks for your comment, Rob! They’ve certainly checked off the “Skywalker” box with Kylo, so maybe they still can go the fresh route with Rey. I kind of suspect they won’t, but the option’s still there.

Biological samples could have been stolen from Luke or Leigh at any point and then cloned or even allowed to come to term in pregnancy.

Now THAT would be a dastardly and nefarious idea, Caine! And I gather Snoke is still thinking about cloning, from one of the comments made in the movie…
