The rumors started earlier this year, and just got confirmed this week. Woody Harrelson is joining the cast of the young Han Solo movie in a less-unspecified role than Emilia Clarke, about whose role nothing is known. As for Woody, we know from him that he’s a mentor figure who’s also a bit of a criminal.
This has led to speculation far and wide that he’ll be playing the character Garris Shrike (or someone like him) from the A.C. Crispin novel The Paradise Snare. Here’s the full rundown on that novel via Wookieepedia. Personally, I think the brain trust of Kasdan, Kasdan, Lord and Miller will be coming up with something entirely their own. What do you think? Also, did you notice on that news release at StarWars.com that they’re not printing the exact release date anymore? That’s been fueling speculation of a move in the date from the previously announced May 25, 2018. Also fueling the speculation is everyone’s opinion that Star Wars movies are making tons of money in December, so if it ain’t broke, why fix it?
Well, now Making Star Wars is reporting that their sources claim the date could be shifting to December 13, 2018, in line with all that speculation. What do you think? Will it move, and do you want it to move? Have your say about that in the comments, too.
