Surprising or little known Star Wars tidbits, sometimes related to today’s Force Feature.Big day in Star Wars history for a couple of reasons! First of all, on this date in 1977, Mark Hamill gets in the car accident that requires him to get facial reconstruction surgery. I swear, I thought it happened after Star Wars came out, and not before, which is shocking and amazing!
Also on this day, five years later (that would be 1982), filming began on Return of the Jedi, then known as Blue Harvest to the outside world in order to avoid media attention and to keep from getting gouged by people hired to work on the movie. And known internally as “Revenge” of the Jedi for a while, too.
