They didn’t have a lot to announce, but they got something on the books…here’s from StarWars.com:
Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the upcoming big screen adventures that explore the characters and events beyond the core Star Wars saga will be known as the Star Wars Anthology Series.
Up until now, details around the first entry in the Anthology Series, Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One, have been minimal. Edwards revealed that the film will revolve around a rogue band of resistance fighters who unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans and bring new hope to the galaxy.
That happened during Sunday’s panel with Rogue One director Gareth Edwards (the other Anthology Series director, Josh Trank, was under the weather and unable to attend).
The Death Star heist plot idea has been kicking around for a while, though it had been suggested that bounty hunters would be doing the job. The reality appears to be different, but what do you think? Are you happy about this development? What Anthology Series movie do YOU want to see? Have your say in the comments!
Also, happy belated birthday to Clive Revill, the voice of the Emperor in the original Empire Strikes Back!

Today’s question: Whose statue is toppled during the Return of the Jedi Special Edition celebration scene?
I like the branding of these stand-alone films as the Star Wars Anthology. Three Anthology films I’d like to see would be 1) The Origin of the Sith, 2) Scum & Villany, and 3) something lighthearted, like Finding Wicket.
